What 2020 holds for YEST-IN

Today Sunday January 12, 2020, youths gather at the University of Buea to experience the launch of activities  for the year 2020. The program which lasted for three hours started at exactly  2:30 pm and witnessed the participation of over 200 youths.

In GOD we trust

This meeting  was chaired by the Executive Director of the organization Mr. Gwei Michael followed by staffs and program coordinators  of the organization. Students, parents  and youths from all spheres of life gathered in their numbers to witness, volunteer and possibly become members of the initiative.

Sustainable Leadership

In a welcome speech  from the program Director for Agriculture Mr. Fonge, he encouraged  youths to be active participants in volunteerism.  In his words he said ” volunteering is done willingly, done without intent of receiving  compensation and lastly done to help someone  or promote  a course”.

The meeting meeting was worthwhile and interactive  as youths were motivated to join the initiative and the quest to know more, after  the disclosure  of the 2020 agenda, Participants found themselves eligible and capable  to participate in all sector  of activities  disclosed with it benefits.

The different Program  Directors gave a rundown of their individual work flow and vision for the year 2020. Youths were encouraged  by  program directors to join hands in making  these programs  a reality so as to develop our communities.

Strengthening commitments

In a closing remark, the youths were encouraged to actively engage in community development and YEST-IN stressed on Volunteerism as a potential guide to entrepreneurship among youths.
